A communications professional with enviable contacts and reach, Cheryl Bame is widely recognized for her innovative work with law firms, professional services firms, financial and real estate companies as well as industry trade groups. After a decade in the broadcast news business, Bame has spent nearly 24 years implementing communications programs that involve media relations, social media, networking and speaking engagements and other professional reputations strategies.

In 2015, Bame was asked by the International Board of Directors of the Legal Marketing Association to launch the group’s Public Relations Special Interest Group to advance the public relations profession for the legal industry. A frequent speaker and blogger, Bame has a passion for her craft and her clients' successes.

As director of public relations at Taft, Kiefer leads the firm’s strategic public relations initiatives, elevating the Taft brand and enhancing its visibility across key audiences. His role encompasses promoting the firm’s growth, lawyer and practice group achievements, client successes, pro bono contributions and the distinctive culture that defines Taft.

With over 22 years of public relations experience, Kiefer has served at the director level for several leading Am Law 100 firms, where he has designed and executed impactful media relations strategies and communication campaigns.
