When it feels like change is the only constant, implementing clear communication can sometimes be the difference between failure and success.

An effective change narrative creates a bridge between the purpose and values that attract employees and clients to our firms in the first place, and the benefits we’re working to realize. Change initiatives are the “how” — not the “what.”

Follow this framework to consistently and successfully communicate change within your firm.

Recognizing that change is an ever-present force in our industry, LMA's 2021 Next Big Thing (NBT) initiative is focusing on providing legal marketing professionals with the knowledge and tools they need to successfully navigate change for themselves, their teams and their firms. This framework was presented as part of the program’s kickoff webinar, “2021 Next Big Thing: Change Management (A Journey, Not a Destination),” presented by Shannon Stucky Pritchett, senior managing director of strategic communications at FTI Consulting, Jill Weber, chief business development officer at Quarles & Brady LLP, and M. Ashraf Lakhani, chief business development and marketing officer at Porter Hedges LLP.

Access the webinar online here and keep an eye out for more throughout the year from NBT.
