Deborah Farone is a New York based marketing and strategy consultant, coach and author of the best-selling legal marketing book “Best Practices: Marketing and Business Development for Law Firms” (PLI 2019).

Prior to founding Farone Advisors, she held CMO positions at Cravath and before that, at Debevoise & Plimpton. She has also been honored with the Legal Marketing Association’s Legacy Award, in recognition of making “a distinguishable mark on the chapter and the profession.” Farone is a member of LMA’s Hall of Fame and a fellow in the College of Law Practice Management. She recently spoke at McKinsey & Company’s legal department and, on the academic side, at the University of Pennsylvania’s Carey Law School, Cornell Law School and Fordham Law School. She has served as an adjunct assistant professor on the faculty of New York University.
